Hi Brian, Thanks for your response. The "Search Computer for Music" functionality is not what I'm looking for. I listen to my music from work off of my computer at home, and I have it all on a web server for accessibility. I have a cronjob which automatically generates playlists from the files that are there, and I have a very large CD collection which I have encoded. So at any rate, I have some very large playlists of streaming media. Being able to do keyword searches through playlists is pretty much the only way to conveniently listen to the music on those playlists. By far and away most graphical mp3 players support this (i.e. the j key in Winamp or xmms). For me to use Zinf this functionality is essential. There were some other features that I thought would be cool: - Caching the ID3/track info for streaming media files to add them to the media library. - Being able to do text keyword searches of the items already in the library would be very helpful as well, in the case that i was using Zinf at home directly on the files. I wasn't able to check if Zinf was able to do this or not, but this would be good as well: - HTTP 1.1 queuing of mp3 files - HTTP 1.1 queuing of ogg files (making the positional bar work) As an aside, I think Zinf really has a lot of potential. Taking things back to basics is a good idea. The newest release of Winamp is absolutely horrid, and terribly slow. I think a lot of people are unhappy with it and are looking for alternatives. I think Zinf isn't that far from filling that void.
