Flac

I see no mention of zinf having the builtin ability to play flac files.  
And I have tried and it does not seem to be able to in fact either.  Is 
there a way to build this capability into flack with some kind of 
plugin?  Or maybe port a plugin from another player like xmms?  If it 
can be done is there a howto I may be directed to?
