That sounds good.
You probably want to contact  Nick Blievers <[email protected]>
to see what he was planing to do.   If you want to take 
a look at something which *should* be similar take
a look at anything under the lmc (logical media converters) directory.
You should find pipeline modules for vorbis, mp3, and wav.  Flac would 
be a great addition. :)
