Confused about theme creation

I have read the theme howto over and over and for the most part I
understand how it works except for the whole button controls

<ButtonControl Name=3D"Next">
            	<Info Desc=3D"Move to next track" Tip=3D"Next"/>
                <Position Pos=3D"287,29"/>
                <ControlBitmap Rect=3D"0,32,119,63" Name=3D"Buttons"/>
            </ButtonControl>

>From what I understand the Position Pos tag is where you want the button
to go on the background correct?

For the ControlBitmap Rect tag, the first two numbers are where the
button is located on the Buttons bitmap right?  So how are the other two
numbers figured.  am not sure which figures I am using for the whole
width conversion thing as per the howto.

Also, do you have to have all the buttons on one bitmap or can each
button be it's own file.
