Root OK, user nogo

Running Gentoo.  Emerged Zinf.  It runs as root, but if a user tries, the 
following occurs:

A window pops up with the message: Parsing the Theme description failed.  
Cause: on line 0.

The console:

[Sun May 30] edj:~$ zinf
(<unknown>:8292): GLib-CRITICAL **: file gmain.c: line 1604 (g_source_remove): 
assertion `tag > 0' failed
