installation prefix

Hi,
Is there some sort of environment variable I can set to change the (default)
installation prefix?
For example, when I set AUTOPACKAGE_PREFIX to /home/user/autopackage_stuff
and then call package install my_package.package then my autopackage file
will be installed into /home/user/autopackage_stuff instead of /usr/local.
I haven't been able to find such environment variable on autopackage.org
