Not really--only *really old* XFree86 systems would still need this,
pretty much everything from before 2003ish. Xorg now compiles dynamic
copies of libs by default, so I don't think this is really an issue.
Maybe we should dynamically link X for now, but leave the option for
people to statically link it, in some sort of super-backwards
compatibility mode?
