Help packaging the latest pidgin.

I am building a user end system update tool, and at the moment I am only
supporting autopackage files, since they're so damn easy to support. Now I
am wanting to build some new autopackages for thing like pidgin, now as a
test I figured one of the most popular packages that is updated regularly is
pidgin. I have been reading through the documentation and such to find a way
of packaging the application, and have gotten so far as editing the meta
information in the spec file.

Once i reached the point of trying to get my head around binreloc I got
lost. I know why it's required and what it does I'm just not quite sure HOW
to do it. Especially considering this application is not mine and I don't
know the code. Can someone help me package the latest pidgin and walk me
through all the things I need to do. Hopefully after packaging a few times
I'll get my head around it and know what to do in future.
