Release a .package now

I want to release a new version of an app (http://etw.sourceforge.net) and
I'd like to distribute it for a version of autopackage that is compatible
with Ubuntu 8.04 and doesn't break gnome icon cache like 1.2.4 stable
version does, there is a way to embed the SVN version of autopackage within
my package or to force the package dependency against a newer version than
1.2.x ?

As far as I know from the manual I can enforce only major version with
"AutopackageTarget" in my apspec file. And also if I can write something
like:

AutopackageTarget: 1.2.6
or
AutopackageTarget: 1.2svn

There are actual, not stable, versions of autopackage available in the
repository?

Also the ability to EMBED the autopackage runtime inside the app package
will be nice...
