Hello Jan, What happens when you run "uname -m"? > "uname -m" responds with "i686" (without the quotes). I have to get back about 1.4.0, because I do not remember the details. At launch, version 1.4.0 said it needed to download support code (if memory serves: autopackage.tar.bz2), which it then did and installed. On completion it mentioned something along the lines that this support code would not need to be reinstalled for subsequent autopackages that I would install. Immediately after that, it aborted with an error that a package could not be found. I forgot the name of that package. When I relaunched the package, it would again download the support code and install it. At the time, I considered that the support code that was downloaded might be the wrong version (since http://ftp.sunsite.dk/projects/autopackage/latestredirects to version 1.2.5). So I downloaded version 1.4.0 of autopackage.tar.bz2 manually, and then relaunched the package for the developer tools. It now proposed to install the support code that it found on the local drive, but this did not help. Obviously, you need to know the exact error message. After the weekend, I will try again. Thanks for your help, Thiadmer
