Thanks mate; love your work.  I've uploaded and deprecated AP v1.2.6; I've
also uploaded and featured AP v1.4.2.  The project's GC URL is:
http://code.google.com/p/autopackage/

A possible drawback of Google Code is that folders can't seem to be created,
which means that I've had to rename the support code archives to
"autopackage-[1.x.x]-x86[_64].tar.bz2".

Jan: If you have a Gmail address, email it to me and I'll add you as a
project owner on Google Code.

Isak: I'm guessing you've already received a notification from GC, after I
added your Gmail address earlier.
