No worries; let's just use the GC repository as an optional testing
playground.  Provided that a source-code tarball is uploaded with each
release, the GC administrators shouldn't mind.

As stated in my previous emails, the main benefits are: faster download
speeds for end-users around the world; potentially less server downtime;
download mirroring would no longer be needed.
