Volume names, time stamping and creation

Hi guys Two Qs -Bacula documentation states that it is possible to use variables in volume names but i am having no success with it, anyone who has this working and care to share a couple examples from .conf files?? -Is it possible to direct Bacula to create a new volume on a particular week days, say sunday??
