I do run a kind of similar setup, but the different LTO generation drives are used for backup up different clients. Hardware is an Overland NEO2000 library, one LTO2 drive and one LTO5 drive. They show up in the linux machine attached as three individual devices (1 changer, 2 drives). From here, the Bacula setup is quite straight forward: - assign the LTO tapes to (at least) one pool per LTO generation - assign the pools to the job definition(s) via the "Full Backup Pool", "Differential Backup Pool" and "Incremental Backup Pool" directives - Link the pools to the storage ressources via corresponding "Media Type" directives - include both device ressources in the Autochanger configuration block of the storage daemon At least for me *no* creation of split virtual libraries was necessary, but that may vary with your hardware.
