The algorithms are single threaded, recent ones like zstd are consuming a very
little amount of CPU, and in general, the cpu contention comes from the IO.

Jobs are multi-threaded, so, running multiple jobs at the same time will
increase the performance (up to a certain point) if it's a problem.
