[bug #61190] Vary slow rendering speen with HiDPI screen

Follow-up Comment #2, bug #61190 (project grub):

I'm also experiencing the same issue, and lowering the GFXMODE resolution only
reduced the keyboard input lag for me. 

The workaround that really fixed it was setting the terminal output to console
only:


/etc/default/grub.d$ cat custom.cfg 
GRUB_TIMEOUT=1
GRUB_TIMEOUT_STYLE=countdown
GRUB_TERMINAL_OUTPUT=console
