This has been happening for over 5 years:
https://ticket.coreboot.org/issues/141

On EliteBooks with Coreboot+GRUB, GRUB hangs infinitely on the menu screen.
When using Coreboot+SeaBIOS to load GRUB from an MBR hard drive, GRUB works
fine.

I fixed this by implementing a 200 ms timeout in
keyboard_controller_wait_until_ready. This patch is now automatically applied
in Libreboot. Keyboard works correctly now, and GRUB no longer hangs.
