Follow-up Comment #2, bug #64406 (project grub):
UPDATE
After installing grub 2:2.12rc1-1, I ran the grub-install command with the
--disable-shim-lock option and rebuilt grub config.
It worked.
I don't secure boot, not sure why that option is necessary with the new grub,
it's never been before.
