The == should work with matrices, so I'll make sure that gets fixed 
for the next release.

As for accessing the elements of a matrix, there's unfortunately not 
any way to do that at the moment.  One could probably extract this 
information using some carefully laid out vector/matrix arithmetic,
but I cannot in good conscience recommend that.  I'll try to add this 
to a future release -- suggestions for the syntax are welcome.
