There is some code and APIs in place to allow for this, but there is
currently no out-of-the-box solution.  I do have most of a Java bridge
written as a plugin (source code in the plugins directory of the source
distribution), but it hasn't been updated for breve 2.0 yet.

I'm working on reintegrating this plugin code for a forthcoming version
so that Java support will be totally transparent.

One thing that would help me with this process is finding experienced
Java/JNI users on Windows and Linux -- I had the plugin working on
Mac OS X, but not on other platforms, which is why the code never got
added to the breve engine.  If anybody can help with the process on
Windows or Linux, please contact me off-list.
