Whoops, I misread the original message here, sorry!
swarmevolve-1.0 and the SwarmEvolve distributed with breve 2.x
("SwarmEvolve 2.0") are actually different simulations.
SwarmEvolve 1.0 used a genetic algorithm to evolve parameters for a
hardcoded motion equation, while SwarmEvolve 2.0 uses genetic
programming
with the Push programming language. SwarmEvolve 2.0 (with or without
the bug I mentioned above) is in fact much slower than SwarmEvolve 1.0
due to the more open-ended behaviors.
Sorry for the confusion. I'll add SwarmEvolve-1.0 as a demo as well.
