Speaking of optimizations, one thing I've noticed is that when lots of Mobile objects are colliding vclip.cc complains a lot: Error at source file "simulation/vclip.cc", line 1821: depth less than 10! Error at source file "simulation/vclip.cc", line 1821: depth less than 10! Error at source file "simulation/vclip.cc", line 1821: depth less than 10! Error at source file "simulation/vclip.cc", line 1821: depth less than 10! Happens in a few different places in that region of the code. When thousands of these collisions are happening I'm sure just to output these error messages to the log file must slow things down. I can think of a couple of possible fixes: - set a runtime flag to inhibit error messages - compile-time flag to do same. Haven't looked to see if there is such a thing because I don't have facility to recompile (MacOS X GUI version). - have the code count error messages and just report that there were many identical errors. BTW, some things that didn't work for me in 2.1 do work in 2.2 beta, such as the music demos (used to crash breve). Thanks for all your good work, all!
