I already suspected you wouldn't like that part ;) Anyway, apart from
the "big" changes regarding the complete introduction/FAQ texts I hope
you'll at least use the gettexts or sth similar for the drop down
boxes. I find it pretty irritating to have something like 'Remember me
for 1 Jahr' (ok, it's the other way round, just to emphasize my point
;). But if you don't want gettext inside the themes at all that's fine
for me as well.

BTW: A suggestion, no, more like a wish: make the language selectable in
the user preferences. I know how you can configure your browser to do
what it should do, but a lot of users don't, and they'd expect a setting
like this in the user preferences. Maybe something like 'If not set in
the user then use the old mechanism'.
