I think so.  Check http://pear.php.net/.  I'm not sure what version of 
the PEAR DB you have, but I do see that 1.6.2 was released two days 
ago.  You should be able to use the pear commandline tool to update the 
whole pear package tho... kinda like CPAN and perl modules (but at the 
moment I can't remember the exact commands to do so).
