After Installation I receive only a blank page

Hello, 
after the installation my system only sends back a empty page without
content.
Has anyone an idea, what part of installation I forgot to do ? 
I do not see any error messages, maybe it would be better to send back error
messages, when e.g. a file for inclusion is missing.
When I change the DB name to a wrong username, I receive an error, so up to
this part everything works, but nothing more.

And : am I correct, that there are no german translations realized yet ?
Maybe this will be a task to me, if the system fits to my needs.
