There was no significant negative impact from the cleanup (some tools
went missing for 24 hours), so I still maintain it was fine.

When you say "there's no hurry"... this has needed doing for months, and
I finally found some time when everyone else was having Thanksgiving. So
in one sense there was no hurry, and in another sense it was exactly the
right moment.
