Once that's confirmed (and you've reloaded the inetd configuration), make sure you can telnet to your localhost port 1529. I'm going to my GNATS server in this example: [23:49:01] chewie@skuld (544)$ telnet ydalir.wk 1529 Trying 192.168.5.254... Connected to ydalir.wk. Escape character is '^]'. 200 ydalir.wk GNATS server 4.0 ready. QUIT 201 Later. Connection closed by foreign host.
