One thing I would really like to see is an additional Email trigger
option

I would like to send an Email on change with format same as the
audit-trail but not require audit trail entries.

Right now we have to create unwanted audit-trail entries just to get
Email notifications=20

Thanks
Paul

Yes, I definitely am updating GNATS, though not at a pace that is
respectable by any means; not something I'm proud of. I'm happy to have
any help you could offer. There is an alpha version of GNATS out on
alpha.gnu.org that I uploaded in September. It's essentially a snapshot
of CVS at that time. There are a few fixes slated before the next alpha
release, such as the patches sent in by Stephane.

I'll try to roll in a few today. The only real time I have to work on
this stuff is on the weekends, as I didn't manage to land a job where
GNATS was used. The company is FOSS friendly, but only toward things
we're actually using. Since they already had RT in place, GNATS fell
off the radar.

In any case, the NEWS file contains info about the big updates, the
license change to GPLv3, for example. Take a look at the
[email protected] archives to see what else we've been hoping to roll
in.
