First, you'll need to verify whether or not you can send ANY email from the system. Gnats uses the sendmail program to send emails. If you do not have a "sendmail" program available, you won't receive email. If that test is passed, you then need to look into the configuration files for the gnats database. Check in these likely places: /etc/gnats/db-config/DATABASE/ /var/lib/gnats/DATABASE/gnats-adm/ Where DATABASE could be the name of your database or "gnats-db" as a default. Grep the flat files for the "@" symbol. You should find some addresses in in "dbconfig" (such as the reply-to fields). Also check the "responsible" file. These will hold usernames and email addresses for contacting. Remember, you always need a gnats-admin person, but you can assign any email address you want to it. Read the info docs regarding how to set GNATS up. They are a wealth of information. -- Chad Walstrom <[email protected]> http://www.wookimus.net/ assert(expired(knowledge)); /* core dump */
