control of parent/child issues

Hi, I just wondered if there were any plans to control the status of issues based on their parent child relationship(s). For example if I have a parent Issue with 2 child issues ( i guess any relation would actually apply too), not being able to set the parent to the appropriate status where bugs are considered resolved, unless the children are.
