Whoops! I raised it again! I am actually digging alittle
deeper to see if i can find the cause - any pointers on
getting debug output out of mantis? I normally rely on
scattering some form of print statement in the code to see
what values are held in variables.

This is as maybe, but if you change other default values -
if the user has not strayed away from the default their
experience IS updated in accordance with the (new) default.
Should this not be the case here also?
