Does that mean that Paul could make changes and send a pull request
that could be back merged into mercurial? AFAIK all the workflows that
use github start with updates into the mercurial repo as the repo of
record and then flow downstream through git.

Is there a way to make changes to git flow upstream into mercurial
without causing a mess by crossing the two flow directions?

Have a great week.
