IMAP + OAuth?

Looks like soon Microsoft cloud services do no longer support password
authentication with imap. I'm not yet sure if this also applies to
encrypted (IMAPS) connections.

Looks like we currently do not support many authentication mechanisms
with our mailgw imaps client settings.

Does anybody know if the python libraries would support OAuth in
principle? Looks like this might be a requirement for many users in the
future...
