I believe for spam there should be a way to completely remove it
(which means editing history). 

However there can be precautions, I'd say that ideally there should be 
funcationality to "move" this unwanted contents into a section on the server
that only a person with a login on the machine can access. Should be 
configurable and enabled by default.
