Suddenly emails to my tracker are being rejected

I maintain a roundup tracker that was working fine up until today when if I try to reply to an email sent by the tracker, I get an error in response saying something like:



"The node specified by the designator in the subject of your message
("1103") does not exist."

The subject line of the email I replied to was " [issue1103] test please ignoe". So it appears that roundup successfully found the designator (issue1103) and extracted the node part (1103) but then could not find issue 1103 in the database. However, it is definitely there.

The above happened when I registered and created an issue with my personal email address.

Another, possibly related issue. occurs when we use our organization email address. Our organization recently changed its domain name, so our email clients, which used to send email as (e.g.) [email protected] now send it as [email protected]. Naturally, if I reply to the tracker now it says it doesn't recognize the email address [email protected]. So I logged in as an administrator and changed my email address to [email protected]. Then I tried again to reply to the email from the tracker and now it says 

You are not a registered user.

Unknown address: [email protected]

But there is definitely a user with that email address, as I can verify on the User List page, and with roundup-admin. 

The tracker is running via wsgi, and I restarted apache after each change. Nothing in the tracker config has changed so I'm not sure what's happening.

Another thing that's going on is that I ran the roundup unit tests and the only ones that fail have to do with the mail gateway:

Sheepishly, I have to admit I didn't run the unit tests _prior_ to all this stuff happening, so I can't say that they used to all pass.
However, this seems kind of suspicious to me. 

I wonder if it's an encoding problem (like the 1103 it receives is somehow encoded so that when it does a database query of 1103, nothing matches because it's really querying some garbage string). Or if somehow the mailgw code is looking in a different database than the rest of the tracker? Aside from these two issues, the tracker is working fine as far as I can tell.

This is roundup 1.5.0 with a mysql database backend.

Does this ring any bells for anyone?
