Making 'title' non-mandatory in new issues

Hi again, I want issue titles to be auto-generated from information inside files that are attached to issues. This will be done via a detector. The issue title can be changed later but when the issue is created, it's going to be auto-generated. So... when creating an issue, I want to allow an empty title. Currently I'll get the error: Error: Required issue property title not supplied ...if I leave the title blank. This is coming from the roundup package (not from detectors). Looks like it's in cgi/form_parser.py. But it's difficult to figure out what exactly to change. I'd like it to be up to my detector whether or not a missing title is valid. And also, for a new issue only, I don't even want to see the input box for Title, since whatever the user puts in there will be overwritten by my detector. Can anyone help with these questions?
