There are so many emails senders out there who do send spam without asking for permission. So if SF starts spamming on me they'll go the same route as all the others I filter out. And I think the two separate checkboxes for advertising from SF do just that, so I don't think I'll get spam from them. My guess is that this is initiated by some legal department inside SF and that we won't have to reconfirm the subscription again. But I may be wrong of course. But hosting the mailinglist on python.org infrastructure would be nice. Does someone have time to do this move? This would require that we can migrate all the current subscribers. And I think we would have to send out another announcement to the subscribers after that move...
