Our group uses Microsoft exchange for part of the path that email goes through. Last week we experienced a period where no email was being received by nosy people on issues for all of our tracker. While investigating that one someone commented (not via roundup): It appears that Microsoft has now drawn the line on non existent email domains being used. (That also stopped sending back an NDR.) You will need to create public MX record, and likely need to have a server up and responding in order to deliver to UW Office 365 recipients or likely any other Microsoft hosted user. Given the current SPAM issues I am very in favor of this new protection they have added. If you cannot stand up a receiving email system I recommend you change your systems to use a properly obtained UW email address and send out via smtp. To have Microsoft back out of this change would take weeks we'd rather not spend to get nosy mail received properly. This problem was addressed by changing our 17 trackers' config.ini files changing mail.domain from labmed.uw.edu to tracker.labmed.uw.edu. If you use both Microsoft exchange and roundup you may want to make sure your nosy email is being received.
