I guess it is my turn now. Our group has been using roundup since 2008. Previously we were using email and spreadsheets to keep track of issues that come up and handle monthly maintenance activities. It started with about 8 people and at that size was becoming unwieldy. Our technical manager is a big fan of python and when he learned about roundup being python based that was a big win. He installed it on a server which used MySQL as the backend. An very important part of buyin was to have one person from the group that would be using it, work to design the screen layout to match their workflow. Much customization was done. For example, a project object was created to group related issues together. Once the 'it' tracker was 'done', buyin was easy because it matched their workflow. Resistance was reduced because one of their own helped design it to meet their needs. Now the 'it' tracker has 34440 issues and the genetics tracker has 18426 issues. Now our group is now at about 25 users, with about 75 users in genetics using their customized tracker. Not counting the test trackers. there are 20 trackers currently in use. Roundup is running on its own server and we are using PortgreSQL to overcome some of MySQL's shortcomings.
