? I don't understand the question.
The first expression I gave was 
';.,-'
The second was
'.;,-'

So the first translates to
"From -infinity to now or empty"
which means dates in the past.

The second translates to
"From now to infinity or empty"
which means dates in the future.

But I don't know if this answers the question.
