Coding well geometry with p/n-active arcs

The p-active and n-active arcs in the mocmos techno have well and
select geometries coded with the diffusion. I would prefer not to
include the well geometry in my techno.
Can this be done? Or does the system expect a well geometry with
every diffusion arc.
