The library file format will not change much.  The new JELIB format 
is even documented in the user's manual.

The command line interface at the bottom of the print console is not 
used at all anymore.  There are few commands supported in it, they 
are undocumented, and are subject to change (or even go away).  Do 
not rely on that interface.
