Has cap-talk effectively moved to other media?

I recently noticed that many people on this list are now extensively using
Google Groups for discussions that used to be posted here on cap-talk. The
friam group appears to be significantly more active than cap-talk these
days. Has cap-talk effectively moved to Google Groups, and should we all
follow?
And if not, are there any other media that feature not exclusively
product-specific discussions that used to be centered on cap-talk that we
all should be aware of? Maybe it would be a good idea to try to cross-post
more to cap-talk?
