Gah! a) Certificate Transparency's underlying mechanism eliminates TTPs. b) The blockchain doesn't (you have to trust those who set checkpoints). c) The blockchain is horribly inefficient. d) Take a look at CONIKS (a derivative of CT that allows some level of secrecy in a publicly verifiable log).
