Noether isn't ready to actually use, but it's definitely a live project that is
intended to support promise pipelining.

I would agree that Cap'n'Proto is probably the best option at the moment.
I will try to make Noether interoperable with its RPC layer if possible.

As I pointed out in <https://groups.google.com/d/msg/friam/DxvAXHLakdY/W3MCaq0YMsMJ>,
leaving timeouts to be implemented at the app level does not work.
