I have the same problem still not quite solved but, a temporary
solution could be to upload the images via the
/files/_galleries/gallery/ folder and/or use zip files instead of
single files. <br>

handled by the gallery plugin' <br>
On the gallery pages, the default images that came with the
installation of Flux CMS appear as links, clicking on them does bring
up the image though.<br>
