Search not working

Decided to build from scratch, this time 1.2.1 however I've noticed a problem (or my complete ignorance) with Live search. Note that I've not touched any files. It is a bog standard install on Mac OS X 10.3. The entire site works nicely and seems to function as intended, however, when I type a word such as "welcome" into the search field I get: "Nothing Found (neither in title nor fulltext)" When clearly, Welcome is the first word on the demo "Your First Post" BLOG page. However, when I type any of the words in the title it works fine. Is there a way to make sure that it does full text searches? Is this a bug or a setting issue?
