XSLT for beginners using Flux CMS?

   Hi!

I asked about this earlier, but since noone answered I'll restate my  
actual questions more clearly:

1. What is the minimal requierements for XSLT-based themes for Flux  
CMS? The ones that come with it are imho. very complex.
2. In what ways are the TAL-themes not as good as the XSLT-ones (when  
looking at the ones bundled with Flux CMS)?

I'm asking this since I'm considering learning XSLT while making a  
theme for Flux CMS, but if it's too hard for me as a beginner I might  
have to go with TAL instead.
