Can't think of a quick solution, but with some mod_rewrite additions and
maybe changes of index.php, resp conf/include.php this could be done. In
conf/include.php you would for example adjust the constant BX_WEBROOT to
the actual value and not to host.com/

If you write:

   <constant name="BX_WEBROOT">none</constant>

in config.xml BX_WEBROOT is not defined and you can do that by yourself
in host. com

HTH, if you have more questions, just ask.
