And then most recently with htmlArea there's RC1: http://www.interactivetools.com/iforum/Open_Source_C3/htmlArea_v3.0_-_Beta_Release_F14/ We implemented htmlArea as an alternative editor for non-Windows users soon after the first beta release. We found it so stable, feature rich and extensible we switched to htmlArea as the default editor for all users a few months back.
